Every one of these started as something we were buying in and were not happy with. They are blended in Stockport, eleven miles away, in batches of about four hundred, and the formulations have changed twice in six years.
There is no sea buckthorn in any of them, no charcoal, and nothing described as "activated". The clay is clay.
Nobody on this floor earns commission. If a barber recommends something, it is because they used it on you.
How much to use
Less than you are using now, on all six. A pea of clay, two drops of oil, one pump of balm. The most common complaint we get about the clay is that it is too strong, and the answer has never once been a different product.

PRODUCT QUESTIONS
Salt spray first, dried in, then a very small amount of clay. Clay alone on fine hair will drag it flat, which is the opposite of what you want.
Cedarwood, lightly. It fades within an hour and will not fight your aftershave. There is no unscented version, and enough people ask that we may make one.
The wash and the oil, yes. The clay and salt spray are wrong for most curl patterns — Femi keeps two products behind the counter that we do not make, and he will point you at them instead.
Five of the six. The clay contains beeswax and we have not found a replacement that holds the same way. None are tested on animals.
Not as a boxed thing, no. Tell us who it is for and we will put two or three in a bag with a card, which is the same thing without the cardboard.
