Roughly two thirds of the shop books it, and it covers almost everything short of a skin fade. Your barber will tell you in the consultation if you would be better served by something else, and change it there and then at the lower price if that is the case.
How often to come back
Skin fades look their best for about two weeks and acceptable for four. Scissor work holds for six to eight. Beards want a shape-up every three weeks if you are keeping a hard line.
Bring a photograph
Genuinely useful, and we would rather see one than guess. We will also tell you honestly if your hair will not do what the photograph is doing, which is roughly one time in five.
